Stefan (Robert DeNiro lookalike Michael Mauro) finds himself accused of killing nine people in an incident of which he has no memory. He can't seem to get the details in the wake of the resulting media circus which his own lawyer appears to be milking offering the prisoner a fortune for the rights to sell his story. As the accused man's sanity unravels the film makes a variety of statements about the media's corrosive effects on the justice system.
